Description

Self-Adhesive Luting Cement
BisCem is a dual-cured self-adhesive resin cement requiring no etching, priming or bonding of the prepared surface. BisCem has excellent handling properties, is easy to use and formulated so that clean up is very easy. It is a paste/paste formula delivered in an auto-mix dual syringe. In addition, it is radiopaque and produces a strong bond to all substrates.

BisCem is available in two shades, Translucent and Opaque, for a simplified system that meets the needs for a wide variety of restorative options.

With what types of substrates can be used with BisCem?
BisCem is compatible with substrates including zirconia, lithium disilicate (e.max) and feldspathic porcelain.

Do I need to pre-treat my restorations before cementing with BisCem?
Yes, in order to achieve reliable cementation results, all glass ceramics should be pre-treated with a silane primer such as BISCO’s Porcelain Primer/Bis-Silane. Zirconia, metal and alumina restorations should be pre-treated with an MDP-containing primer such as BISCO’s Z-Prime Plus.

Does BisCem need to be refrigerated?
Yes, BisCem needs to be refrigerated at 2 – 8 oC (36 – 46 oF).

What is the shelf-life of BisCem?
18 months.

What is the difference between BisCem and TheraCem?
Both BisCem and TheraCem are self-adhesive cements.
However, TheraCem includes the following features as compared to BisCem:

  1. Fluoride and calcium release
  2. Higher bonds strengths; to Zirconia – Contains MDP
  3. 18-month shelf life at room temperature (BisCem requires refrigeration)
  4. Higher radiopacity
  5. Alkaline pH after bonding

How many BisCem shade options are available?
BisCem is offered in two shades: Translucent and Opaque.
